1. it is an operating system , sort of like windows.
2. it is free and has a variety of different programs.
3. it is becoming a force in computing, powering many things , from the New York stock exchange to mobile phones to supercomputers to consumer devices.
4. the operating system represented a 25 billion Eco-system a few years back. 
5. it is not as good as windows when it comes to installing software , but has the same function.
6. every day more free apps including games , graphing applications , and other useful software's that are exclusive to Linux.

this topic relates to my life because it is giving me a choice other than windows or mac and gives me other choices in applications. It is also very useful because many company's are using it now a days so there might be a possibility that I use it in the future.

How does Linux maintain itself if they don't receive any income from their operating system or the apps ?

my GPA for the first quarter was 3.3 , I am a bit bellow the average GPA to enter any of the colleges, which is 3.5.

i learnt from this experience that i have to improve my grades in order to be able to enter one of the collages that interest me , and i have to keep looking for colleges that i am interested in.
